Colin McIntosh

Colin McIntosh is a seasoned professional in publishing and lexicography, currently serving as the Product Owner for the Cambridge Dictionary at Cambridge University Press & Assessment since March 2021. Previously, Colin held the position of Publisher for Dictionaries, Vocabulary, and Skills at Cambridge University Press from April 2009 to March 2015, where responsibilities included overseeing Cambridge Dictionaries and serving as Chief Editor for the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary. With extensive expertise in monolingual and bilingual lexicography, vocabulary, grammar, and language pedagogy, Colin has contributed to both print and digital publishing. Before joining Cambridge, Colin worked as a Senior Editor at Oxford University Press from 1995 to 2009. Colin holds a BA(Hons) in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford, an MA in Applied Linguistics from Birkbeck, University of London, and a TESOL qualification from North East Scotland College.
