Derek Long

Derek Long is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the telecommunications sector. Currently serving as the Director of Telecoms and Mobile at Cambridge Consultants since January 2016, Derek is focused on developing the telecommunications business and facilitating deep technology innovations for market impact. Prior to this role, Derek spent over a decade at Ericsson, where significant positions included Principal, Vice President of EP Mobile Broadband & Communications Services, Sales Director for Vodafone Global, and Sales Director for Deutsche Telekom Group. During tenure at Ericsson, notable achievements included managing substantial sales targets, leading large teams, and transforming departments into profit-generating entities. Derek holds a PhD in Telecommunications from the University of Bristol and completed a management program in Innovation at the Questrom School of Business, Boston University.
