Rahul Sathe

Rahul Sathe has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of medical technology and innovation. Rahul currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Medtech Innovation at Cambridge Consultants since 2024, where they lead their global Medical Device business. Rahul is responsible for tackling healthcare challenges and developing novel products and ecosystems to improve outcomes and patient experience. Prior to this role, Rahul served as the Vice President of Surgical Innovation at Cambridge Consultants from 2020 to 2023, overseeing business growth and strategy in the field of surgery. Before that, they were the Head of Surgical Innovation from 2017 to 2020.

In addition to their roles at Cambridge Consultants, Rahul also has experience in business development and strategic client development partnerships in the surgical innovation sector. Rahul managed new business development and developed strategies for surgical products in emerging markets from 2015 to 2017.

Earlier in their career, Rahul worked as a Principal Engineer at Cambridge Consultants from 2008 to 2015, where they managed complex R&D programs in various medical domains such as cardiac rhythm management, neurostimulation, surgical robotics, and more.

Furthermore, Rahul has also served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Cameron Health, a medical technology start-up, from 2006 to 2008. Rahul played a crucial role in the development of a novel implantable defibrillator before the company was acquired by Boston Scientific. Rahul also had a brief stint in operations engineering at Cameron Health in 2005.

Rahul's work experience extends beyond the medical field as well. Rahul briefly worked in financial engineering at GKN Aerospace in 2004. Additionally, they hold a position as a member of the Board of Directors at MassMEDIC, starting in 2023.

Rahul Sathe completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Michigan in 2004. Rahul then pursued their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completing it in 2006.
