William van Den Aardweg

William van den Aardweg has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. William started their career as a Lab Technician at ELPROM, where they gained experience in testing and repairing circuit boards. William then worked as a Student Assistant at Stellenbosch University, providing assistance to students and marking papers and tests. At Dormas Systems, they worked as an Assistant Systems Technician, specializing in the installation and maintenance of Aweta grading machines that used neural networks for fruit grading. William then joined RapidM as a Junior Embedded DSP Engineer, focusing on research, design, and implementation of communication systems. At AudioTelligence, William held multiple roles including Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Lead Software Engineer, and Software Team Leader. In these roles, they were responsible for team management, sprint planning, and resource allocation. Currently, they are working as a Principal Software Engineer at Cambridge Consultants.

William van den Aardweg holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stellenbosch University, which they completed from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in the same field from Stellenbosch University/Universiteit Stellenbosch, which they pursued from 2009 to 2014. William also holds a certification as a Padi Advanced Open Water Diver from Maties Underwater Club, which was obtained in 2013.
