Associate Director Of Scientific Affairs at Cambridge Epigenetix

Mark Consugar has held various roles in the biotech industry since 1999. Mark began their career as a Supervisor/Senior Research Technologist at the Mayo Clinic. In 2008, they moved to NMS Labs as a Senior Scientist in Endocrinology. Mark then joined the University of Pennsylvania in 2009 as a Resource Technologist C, where they were responsible for running the Illumina NGS platform and developing and maintaining gDNA patient sample databases. In 2010, they joined Agilent Technologies as a Genomics Product Specialist. Mark then moved to Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary/Harvard Medical School in 2011, where they held the roles of Genomics Projects Director and Research Manager for the Ocular Genomics Institute. In 2015, they joined RainDance Technologies as a Market Development Senior Scientist, where they were responsible for managing Marketing-driven extended instrument loaner agreements. In 2017, they joined Twist Bioscience as a Manager of Next-Generation Sequencing Field Application Scientists, Next-Generation Sequencing Field Applications Scientist, and Next-Generation Sequencing Sales Specialist. Mark then joined TwinStrand Biosciences in 2020 as Manager of Field Application Scientists. Most recently, they joined Cambridge Epigenetix in 2023 as Lead Field Applications Scientist.

Mark Consugar earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemistry from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in 1996, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biochemistry from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in 1996, and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 2001.
