Nikolay Pchelintsev

Associate Director of Product Development at Cambridge Epigenetix

Nikolay Pchelintsev has a wealth of experience in the life sciences field. Nikolay began their career in 2008 as a Research Scientist at Cancer Research UK, where they mastered a wide range of molecular biology techniques and wrote manuscripts. In 2014, they joined Abcam as a Principal Scientist, where they developed and launched three RUO biochemical kits and established a procedure for peptide microarray fabrication. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Freelance Consultant and designed and built an instrument prototype to automate a membrane processing step in Western Blot. In 2017, they became the Head of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry Lab at IBC Generium, leading a molecular biology team of six and motivating associates for continuous learning and development. In 2019, they joined Leica Biosystems as a Senior R&D Manager Molecular Diagnostics, leading an R&D team of 12 with six direct and six indirect reports. Nikolay is currently employed as the Associate Director of Product Development at Cambridge Epigenetix, a position they have held since 2022.

Nikolay Pchelintsev obtained a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Leeds between 2005 and 2008. Prior to that, they obtained an M.Sc. with Honours in Chemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) between 2000 and 2005. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Intro to Statistics with R: Introduction and Introduction to R from DataCamp.
