Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Cambridge Epigenetix

Rosie Telford Spencer has had a varied career in the sciences and engineering. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as a Climate Change Policy Analyst and Assistant Statistician for the Scottish Government. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Systems Analyst (Fortran) for Cards Engineering España, S.L., and from 2013 to 2017, they were a Senior Data Manager for Bionical Emas. From 2021 to 2022, they were a Postgraduate Student at the University of Cambridge, where they completed an MPhil in Computational Biology and an internship project on biopsy image segmentation using deep learning (Pytorch). Currently, they are a Bioinformatics Scientist at Cambridge Epigenetix.

Rosie Telford Spencer has a well-rounded educational background. Rosie began their studies in 1997 at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, where they earned an MPhys in Astrophysics in 2001. Rosie then moved on to the University of Leicester, where they earned a PhD in Astrophysics in 2005. Most recently, they attended the University of Cambridge, where they earned a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Computational Biology in 2022.
