Ian Furst is an accomplished oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive experience in both clinical and leadership roles. Since 1999, Furst has served at Coronation Dental Specialty Group and Cambridge Memorial Hospital as a staff surgeon while also holding the position of instructor in the graduate program of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto since January 2022. As Chief Executive Officer of the Swisscross Foundation since July 2018, Furst has been instrumental in developing educational programs for surgical reconstruction in conflict zones, along with a data acquisition tool through the War Wounds Project. Additionally, Furst co-invented a referral management software for SafeReferral.com and has contributed to various organizations including the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Ontario Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. Furst's academic credentials include a DDS and MSc in Oral Surgery from the University of Toronto.
