Gavin Braithwaite

VP Research at Cambridge Polymer

Gavin Braithwaite has a long history of experience in the scientific field. Gavin began their career in 1994 as a PhD student at Imperial College London. Gavin then moved to Harvard University in 1997 as a Research Assistant and to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1998 in the same role. In 1999, they joined the Cambridge Polymer Group as a Research Scientist and was promoted to VP Research. In 2007, they founded Hydrospine, Inc. and in 2020 they became a Scientific Advisor at Orthonika.

Gavin Braithwaite's education history includes a PostDoc from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Mechanical Engineering (1997-1999), a PhD from Imperial College London in Chemical Engineering (1993-1997), an MSc from the University of Southampton in Electronics (1992-1993), and a BSc (Hons) from The University of Edinburgh in Physics (1988-1992).
