Matthew T. Dearing

Matthew T. Dearing serves as the AIOps Technical Lead & Applications Development 4 at Argonne National Laboratory, leading the AI for Operations initiative to enhance laboratory efficiencies through advanced AI/ML models. With a diverse background that includes roles as Adjunct Instructor at the University of Illinois Springfield, Staff At-Large at the University of Chicago, and Scientific and Technical Editor, Matthew has contributed to academia and industry alike. Prior experience includes consulting for Central Bank Illinois, teaching physics at Illinois Wesleyan University, and managing operations at Denney Jewelers. Matthew holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Chicago. Additionally, Matthew has a background in gemology and co-founded dynamic patterns theatre and dynamic patterns pottery studio.
