David Weinstein

David Weinstein is an experienced education professional currently serving as a School Committee Member for Cambridge Public Schools since January 2020, where duties include overseeing the district's administration and a budget exceeding $200 million. Weinstein holds the positions of Chair of the Curriculum and Achievement and Communications and Community Relations Subcommittees, while also contributing to several other subcommittees. Additionally, Weinstein serves as the Assistant Director of ENACT at the International Center for Ethics, Justice, and Public Life at Brandeis University, focusing on the development of civic engagement initiatives. Weinstein is also a Social Innovation and Impact Fellow with StartingBloc and a member of the Boston Chapter of the Scholars Strategy Network. With a strong background in education policy and advocacy, Weinstein has previously run for the Cambridge School Committee and has experience as an education and communications consultant. Weinstein earned an Ed.M. from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BA from Wesleyan University.
