Florian Curchod

Head of Quantum Cryptography Research at Cambridge Quantum Computing

Florian Curchod has been working in the field of quantum cryptography since 2013. Florian began as a Master Thesis Student at GAP optique, researching in the group lead by prof. Nicolas Gisin. In 2014, they moved to ICFO, where they were a PHD Student and then a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Quantum Information Theory group of prof. Antonio Acin. In 2019, they became the Head of Quantum Cryptography Research at Cambridge Quantum Computing and also the Head of Quantum Cryptography at Quantinuum.

Florian Curchod has a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Geneva, obtained between 2009 and 2012. Florian then obtained a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the same university between 2012 and 2013. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Quantum Information Theory from ESEIAAT-UPC between 2014 and 2019.
