Robert Thomson

Robert Thomson is the current Vice President of Field Operations at Cambridge Semantics. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President, Customer Success at Digital Reasoning from June 2014 to April 2020. In this role, they were responsible for all of Digital Reasoning's customers globally as they progressed along their customer journey. Prior to their time at Digital Reasoning, Thomson held the position of European Director of Technology Services at MarkLogic from January 2011 to June 2013.

From October 2000 to December 2002, Thomson was the Professional Services Director EMEA at Mercator Software. In this role, they ran both pre and post sales consultancy for the General Business vertical across EMEA. Prior to their time at Mercator Software, Thomson worked as a Senior Sales Consultant at Oracle Corporation from September 1997 to October 1998. In this role, they were a Senior Presales consultant specializing in the Financial Services Vertical.

Thomson began their career as a Principal Consultant at Pilot Software from January 1996 to December 1997. Robert then went on to hold the position of International Professional Services Director at Metastorm Limited from October 2005 to May 2011. Following this, they became the Director, Professional Services EMEA at CommerceQuest from January 2003 to October 2005.

Robert Thomson's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Edinburgh and a Diploma in Management Studies in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Henley Business School.
