Rod Smith is the Managing Director, International Education at Cambridge University Press. Rod has over 25 years of experience in the publishing industry, with a focus on educational publishing. Prior to their current role, Rod served as the Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at Pearson UK. In this role, they were responsible for aligning strategy and business development with Pearson's new Global Education Strategy. Rod also oversaw economic policy, customer experience, web and digital strategy, brand, business intelligence, and research.

Before joining Pearson, Rod was the Managing Director at Longman Education. During their time at Longman, they oversaw the acquisition of Harcourt International Education - making Longman the largest educational publisher in the UK. Rod also led the team that got OFT approval of the deal at the first attempt.

Rod is an expert in the field of educational publishing, and has played a significant role in shaping the landscape of the industry over their 25-year career.

Rod Smith attended the University of Cambridge, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (British and Commonwealth).
