Catherine May

Independent Non-Executive Director at Cambridge Water

Catherine May is an experienced executive and non-executive director with a background in the water sector. Catherine is currently an independent non-executive director at Cambridge Water and has previously held senior positions at South Staffs Water, ENO Trust (charity), Stonehaven International and Catherine May Associates Limited. In October 2012, they joined The National Funding Scheme as a non-executive trustee and held this position until September 2016. From June 2011 until June 2019, they were a senior independent director on the ENO board and chaired the ENO's Advisory Board. In this role, they provided strategic guidance and governance to the world-renowned opera company, helping it to expand its revenue-generating capabilities.

Catherine May has a diverse educational background in neuroscience and coaching. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of London, and has also completed certification programmes in neuroleadership, neurolinguistic programming and executive coaching from prominent institutes such as the NeuroLeadership Institute, NLP School and Henley Business School. In addition, they have also participated in cross-company mentoring programmes for female leaders, and is an accredited NLP coach with the International Coaching Federation.
