Christopher Mills

Christopher Mills is an experienced transport strategy and planning professional currently serving as the Transport Strategy and Planning Programme Manager at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority since March 2024. In this role, Christopher leads the Mayor’s Vision Zero road harm reduction programme and oversees mobility hub strategy and autonomous vehicle initiatives. Previous experience includes serving as Discipline Director at Buro Happold, where insights on transport decarbonisation, public health, and active travel were provided to prominent clients including the EU and various government bodies. Prior roles also include leadership positions at Stantec UK and Transport for London, alongside academic roles at London South Bank University. Christopher’s extensive educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Sustainable Urban and Transport Planning and degrees in Town and Regional Planning from The University of Sheffield.
