Gysbert Fourie

Gysbert Fourie has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Gysbert began their career as a Trust Doctor in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Hinchingbrooke Health Care NHS Trust in 2003. Gysbert then worked as an Out of Hours GP clinician at HuntsDoc from 2007 to 2010. From 2005 to 2011, they worked at Cedar House Surgery, first as a GP Registrar and then as a Salaried GP. At Cedar House Surgery, they performed minor surgical procedures and joint injections and built strong relationships with the patients.

In 2010, Gysbert started working as an Out of Hours GP practicing clinician at Urgent Care Cambridgeshire. In addition to their clinical work, they took on the role of a Non-Executive Director, where they focused on improving relationships between local clinicians and the UCC board.

From 2011 to 2018, Gysbert worked as a GP Partner at The Acorn Surgery. In this role, they acted as the lead GP for finance, business development, prescribing, research, and vasectomy services. Gysbert also collaborated with the finance team to manage a £1.2M annual budget.

In 2017, Gysbert joined Cambridgeshire and Peterborough CCG as a GP Clinical Lead for the A/E Delivery Board. Gysbert played a key role in reviewing GP streaming from ED to UTC and developing winter resilience plans. Gysbert also implemented the Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) strategy on a local level.

In 2019, Gysbert founded Fourie Medical Ltd, where they worked as an Entrepreneur and Healthcare Consultant. Gysbert partnered with clients to enable strategic vision for companies interested in new digital pathways, AI, and robotics. Gysbert developed an AI-driven automation software called iPRO-Care and ensured its compliance with clinical risk safety and cyber security standards.

In the same year, Gysbert also started working at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS) as Deputy Medical Director and Clinical Lead for Planned Care. In this role, they focused on advancing the planned care strategy and delivery plans while overseeing a team of 6. Gysbert also built partnerships between primary and secondary care teams and prioritized harm review and risk reduction during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gysbert Fourie's education history is as follows:

Gysbert started their education in 1995 at the University of the Free State, where they pursued their MBChB (Masters in Medicine and Masters in Surgery) degree in the field of medicine. Gysbert completed their degree in 2000.

In 2011, Gysbert attended Anglia Ruskin University and obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Medical Education, specializing in special education and teaching. Gysbert completed this program in 2012.

From 2015 to 2017, they attended Hult International Business School, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in finance.

In 2017, Gysbert also obtained additional certifications in various fields. These include the completion of the "J.T. O'Donnell on Making Recruiters Come to You" course from LinkedIn, as well as the completion of the "Project Management: Healthcare Projects" and "Managing Small Projects" courses, also from LinkedIn.

In 2019, they obtained a certification in "Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy" from MIT Sloan Executive Education.

Gysbert is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in Business Administration at Hult International Business School, which is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
