Ozan Gemikonakli

Ozan Gemikonakli has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ozan started their career in 2013 as a volunteer at Pandrillus Cameroon - Limbe Wildlife Centre, where they gained practical experience in caring for endangered species and managing teams for maintenance work. From 2009 to 2017, Ozan worked independently as a private tutor, offering academic support to students from different backgrounds and levels. In 2017, they founded Earnest Tutors, a nonprofit tuition agency that provided affordable and accessible tuition to students in London, with a focus on underprivileged students. As the founder and CEO, Ozan directed profits towards offering free tuition to students in need. In 2018, they joined LabGenius as a Scientist and later became a Protein Science Intern. Most recently, in 2021, Ozan joined Cambrium as a Protein Data Scientist, utilizing their expertise in the field. Overall, their work experience showcases their passion for teaching, scientific research, and commitment to making a positive impact on the community.

Ozan Gemikonakli obtained a Professional Certificate in Natural Language Processing with Deep Learning from Stanford University in 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Genetic Manipulation and Molecular Cell Biology at the University of Sussex from 2017 to 2018. Ozan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General at UCL from 2013 to 2016. Ozan also completed their A-levels in Biology, Maths, and Physics at The Latymer School from 2005 to 2012.
