Catherine Gignac

Catherine Gignac is an experienced executive with a strong background in the mining and resources sector. Currently serving as Board Chair at Cameco Corporation since January 2014, Gignac oversees operations in uranium fuel supply. Gignac has held directorships at OceanaGold Corporation, Corvus Gold Inc., Trevali Mining Corporation, St Andrew Goldfields Ltd., and Azul Ventures, contributing to various mining operations and strategic developments. With a career beginning as an exploration geologist at Barrick Gold Corporation, Gignac later transitioned into mining equity analysis at prominent firms. Gignac holds an ICD.D designation from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management and an Honours B.Sc. in Geology from McMaster University.
