Mark Sherwood

Mark Sherwood serves as the Manager of Safety, Health, Radiation, and Quality at Cameco Corporation since January 2008, leading an interdisciplinary team to enhance safety and health standards across uranium mining operations. Previous roles at Cameco include Senior Coordinator of Regulatory Affairs, where Mark oversaw Safety and Radiation Protection departments, and Coordinator of Radiation Protection, where innovative solutions improved performance metrics while managing costs. Earlier experience includes positions at Saskatchewan Research Council as a Research Engineer, Advanced Datasystems Inc. as a Systems Analyst, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Research Engineer focusing on micro-robotics. Mark holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Saskatchewan.
