Javier Prieto Ruiz

Javier Prieto Ruiz has several years of work experience in various roles. Javier started their career at Agrotain International & Universidad Politécnica de Madrid as an Engineering Intern, where they conducted studies on pollutant emissions in crops and performed laboratory analysis. Then, they worked at Tragsatec as a Photointerpreter for a brief period.

Later, Javier joined Camelina Company as a Field Technician, contributing to the establishment of camelina cultivation in Spain and participating in R&D projects. Javier also served as a Laboratory Manager for this company.

Currently, Javier holds the position of Breeding Director at Camelina Company, where they are responsible for designing and automating growth chambers, phenotyping and characterizing stress responses, and developing new varieties.
