Yuri Herreras Yambanis

Yuri Herreras Yambanis has a diverse work experience. Yuri co-founded and served as a director for Camelina Company España S.L., which specializes in the production of camelina oil and meal. Yuri was also a co-founder of Bioenergía y Cultivos Agroenergéticos S.L., where they focused on developing sustainable feedstock projects for the bioenergy industry. Prior to that, Yuri worked as a researcher at the Nuclear Fusion Institute of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, focusing on the neutrino study of the international fusion project ITER. In addition to their professional roles, they were also a member of the EIP-Agri Focus Group "Sustainable industrial crops".

Yuri Herreras Yambanis has a diverse education history. In 1998, they obtained their French Baccalauréat with a focus on scientific studies from Lycée Français, Madrid. Yuri then pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2000 to 2006, specializing in Energy Technology. Following that, from 2006 to 2009, Yuri completed a Master's in Science and Nuclear Technology at Polytechnic University of Madrid. In 2019, they attended IE Business School for the Advanced Management Program. Additionally, Yuri obtained certifications including RSB sustainability from Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials in October 2013, and CREA MEDIOAMBIENTE from INSTITUTO CREA MEDIOAMBIENTE in an unspecified year.
