Mitch Miller

VP, Ocean Prime at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants

As vice president of Ocean Prime, Mitch Miller oversees the 16 locations across the country. Miller provides strategic direction for the brand and leads a team of managers, directors, and corporate and regional chefs who handle the daily restaurant operations.

Miller has held numerous managerial positions within Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR), including as the dining room manager at Martini. He also is the former general manager and helped open Cap City Gahanna, as well as Mitchell’s Ocean Club and Molly Woo’s. Miller was then promoted to regional director and later, director of operations for Ocean Prime before moving into his current role.

Prior to his time with CMR, Miller first began working in the restaurant industry as a manager at TGI Fridays in 1990, and then as regional manager for Outback Steak House until 1996. At that time, he was introduced to Cameron Mitchell, by his brother David and soon joined the Martini team.

Miller is often praised by his fellow associates for his strong leadership, especially during restaurant openings and hopes to bring passion, approachability and a new perspective to his position as vice president.

He was named CMR General Manager of the Year twice and was honored with the Cameron Mitchell Award in 2012, which recognizes leaders in the company who embody the entrepreneurial spirit Cameron is known for.

The strong relationships he has been able to create over the past 23 years within the company is the reason Miller enjoys working for CMR. “It is a family,” he said.

When asked the greatest lesson he has learned throughout his professional career, Miller responded, “The strength of the team is the “team.” No individual is above that.”
