Sam Gil oversees the organization’s operations and marketing departments. Since joining Camillus House in 2000, he has played an integral role in developing the organization’s image, community relations, and overseeing its business operations. Mr. Gil has more than 20 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex operational systems and programs.
Prior to joining Camillus, Mr. Gil was the advertising and communications manager for Tasco Sales, Inc., a multinational optics firm with operations in over 70 countries.
In addition to Mr. Gil’s business and professional experience, he is a graduate of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Miami Class of 2006.He has served as a member of Miami-Dade County School’s Educational Excellence Advisory Council, which works to ensure improved student achievement. He has also worked with local church groups to assist the poor and homeless in the community.
Mr. Gil holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Florida International University.

Camillus House has provided humanitarian services to the indigent and homeless populations of Miami-Dade County, Florida for more than 50 years, growing from a small overnight shelter into a full service center offering a full continuum of care for persons who are poor and homeless. Every service offered at Camillus is carried out with the deeply held belief that every human being is precious in the eyes of the Lord and deserves love, respect and a chance to live a dignified life.
