Mary is a development and communications professional with 17+ years of experience in the nonprofit sector and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). She has worked for several well-known Bay Area agencies, including: Project Open Hand, Samaritan House of San Mateo, Mercy Housing California, Rubicon Programs, The Commonwealth Club of California and Glide Foundation. Mary has extensive experience in strategic partnership development with individuals, corporations, foundations, civic and community based organizations. Mary is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Golden Gate Chapter (AFP-GGC), the Northern California Planned Giving Council, the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners and she serves as a Patient Family Advisory Council member for the San Francisco Kaiser Permanente Medical Center and as a Regional Patient Centered Care Peer Advisor for Kaiser Permanente Northern California. Previously, she served as an Advisory Board member for Oasis for Girls in San Francisco, the Chair/Co-Chair of the AFP-GGC Mentoring Program, an Advisory Council Member of AFP's Multicultural Alliance Program and a Board member of the Friends of Sharon Art Studio. Mary lives in San Francisco with her husband, Tod, and two kitties, Baxter and Buster.
