Fernando Ocampo

Born in Nicaragua, Fernando moved to Canada as a teenager, so he is fluent in both English and Spanish. He graduated from Seminario Teológico Bautista Internacional in Cali, Colombia with a Bachelors in Theology.

During his four years in seminary, he and his wife Adriana helped plant a church in Cali's suburbs and traveled to various Colombian cities to conduct outreach events and train churches in evangelism, mission and discipleship. In 1999 they returned to Canada as Associate Pastor at Iglesia Bautista Betel, and in 2001 was appointed senior pastor.

Fernando's passion is to see people come to know Jesus, to disciple them and to actively get God's people involved in supporting God's mission locally and globally.
