Kara Lorenzana is an experienced educator specializing in science and STEM instruction, currently serving as a Science Teacher Leader at Camino Nuevo Charter Academy since August 2017. In this role, Kara has collaborated with instructional leaders to enhance professional development and supported colleagues in implementing CNCA instructional frameworks alongside the NGSS and CCSS. Previously, Kara worked as a K-5 STEM Specialist Teacher, developing NGSS-aligned units and differentiating instruction for diverse learners. Additional experience includes a brief stint as an instructor at StemWorld and several years teaching at St. Bernard Catholic School, where Kara focused on CCSS-aligned instruction and student support. Kara holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University.
