David Oakes

David Oakes has extensive work experience in the field of information technology. David has held various roles in different companies throughout their career. Since 2017, they have been the Director of Information Technology at Camira Fabrics Limited. Prior to this, they worked at TransUnion UK from 2013 to 2016, holding positions such as Head of IT Service Improvement, Head of IT Operations, and Business Systems Manager. From 2005 to 2012, they worked at Provident Financial Group, where they held the roles of Senior IT Operations Manager, Solutions Delivery Manager, Apps Dev Mgr, and Infra Project Manager. Before that, they worked at Logica as a Project Delivery Manager and Consultant from 1999 to 2005. David also has experience as a Training Instructor at Admiral Computing Ltd from 1996 to 1999, and as a COBOL DB2 Programmer at Barclays from 1992 to 1996.

David Oakes graduated from The University of Salford with a BSc Hons degree in Information Technology from 1989 to 1992. Prior to that, they attended Lymm High School from 1985 to 1989 and Lymm Oughtrington High School from 1982 to 1985. In addition to their formal education, David has obtained several certifications, including "Becoming a Triple-Threat Project Manager" from LinkedIn in November 2016, MSP Foundation and MSP Practitioner from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in July 2016, ITIL Foundation from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in October 2013, DSDM Atern Practitioner from DSDM Consortium in March 2013, Leadership and Management Level 5 Diploma from Chartered Management Institute in July 2011, and Prince 2 Practitioner from APM Group in September 2004.
