Vance Smith

Vance Smith is an experienced CAD/BIM Project Technologist at RJC Engineers, where collaboration with a team of Engineers and Technologists includes CAD/BIM support, field inspections, and project coordination since October 2015. Vance also serves as an Instructor for the Commercial Practices course in the Engineering Graphics Technician program at Camosun College since January 2020. Prior roles include Principal at Core Drafting Services from January 2005 to October 2015, overseeing a team providing technical drafting services and conducting construction site inspections; Senior Structural Technologist at Herold Engineering Limited from January 2003 to January 2005, preparing technical drawings for various structural projects; and Structural Technologist at Earth Tech from January 2000 to January 2003, managing a multi-discipline team on large-scale structural projects. Vance holds a diploma in Manufacturing Technology from Camosun College, obtained between 1987 and 1989.
