Alison Hurwitz-Kelman is an experienced educator and curriculum writer with a strong background in Jewish education. Currently serving as a Program Associate at Facing History and Ourselves since August 2022, Alison also works as a Curriculum Writer for the Culinary Judaics Academy, focusing on integrating Jewish traditions and relevance into educational materials. With a history of leadership roles at Camp Ramah in California and teaching positions at the Heschel Day School, Sinai Akiba Academy, and Milken Community School, Alison has consistently developed and implemented innovative curricula for middle school students. Additionally, Alison has contributed as an Education Mentor at American Jewish University and engaged Jewish college students through programs at Hillel at the University of Maryland. Alison holds a Master of Education from American Jewish University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Judaic Studies from the University of California, San Diego.
