Jane Rosenfeld has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Jane started their career in 2016 as an Americorps Member and Corps Council Representative at City Year. Jane then worked as a student teacher at The Blue School, The Ella Baker School, and Midtown West School in 2017. In 2017, they also joined Camp Scatico as a bunk counselor and later took on the role of theater director.
In 2018, Jane worked as a student teacher at Midtown West School, and in 2019, they served as a playgroups facilitator for admissions and a 2nd-grade associate teacher at The Spence School. Jane also temporarily replaced as a maternity leave head teacher during this time.
In 2020, Jane joined Mindstrides as a private tutor and continued to work with The Spence School as a second act after-school teacher.
In 2021, they started working as a private tutor at braintrust and later joined Camp Scatico in 2022 as the director of programming.
Additionally, Jane had a brief experience as a private tutor at Smarten-Up Tutoring in 2017. Throughout their career, they have gained a range of teaching and leadership skills, demonstrating their commitment to education.
Jane Rosenfeld has a diverse education history, with a focus on childhood education. Jane earned a Master of Education degree in Childhood Education Grades 1-6 from Bank Street College of Education in 2019. Prior to that, they attended Kenyon College from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies. During their time at Kenyon College, they also participated in a study abroad program at Trinity College Dublin in 2015.
Jane's educational journey began at The Beacon School, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, they have sought further professional development and obtained various certifications. These include the Advancing Thinking Through Writing I certification from The Writing Revolution in January 2022, the Responsive Classroom 4-Day Elementary Course certification from Responsive Classroom in July 2019, and the Educators: Gender Spectrum certification from Gender Spectrum in June 2019. Jane also obtained the Educating All Students certification, as well as three parts of the Multi-Subject: Teachers of Childhood certification from NYSTCE in 2019. Prior to these certifications, they attended the Responsive Classroom 1-Day Workshop by Responsive Classroom in February 2019 and received the Beyond Diversity certification from Courageous Conversations in August 2018.
