Jenna Williams

Jenna Williams has over nine years of experience in the biotechnology field. Jenna began their career in 2010 as a Co-Op at Morphotek Inc where they developed exceptional troubleshooting skills and improved laboratory productivity by completing quality research projects. In 2011, they became a Research Assistant at UES, Inc. where they devised a successful protocol for sporulation of viable Bacillus subtilis cells and identified several TNT aptamers with high activation ratios. In 2014, they were a Research Assistant I at Harvard Medical School where they performed DNA sample prep for sequencing reactions, operation and maintenance of high throughput robotics and sequencing instruments, and data entry in Laboratory Information Management Systems. In 2015, they became an Associate Scientist at bluebird bio where they designed and constructed various plasmids for research in the CAR-T program and maintained mammalian cell culture for viral vector production and characterization. In 2017, they joined CAMP4 Therapeutics as a Research Scientist and then moved up to Senior Research Associate and Research Associate. That same year, they also became an Associate Scientist II at Proteostasis Therapeutics, Inc. (PTI) where they worked on small molecule CFTR modulator treatment of primary human bronchial epithelial cells (HBE) and stable cell line cystic fibrosis bronchial epithelial (CFBE) cells to identify effects on mRNA and protein levels of candidate genes, created a comprehensive set of primers and developed the protocols to genotype from genomic DNA, and performed metabolite ELISA assays to quantify metabolites from blood, cells, and media.

Jenna Williams attended West Windsor Plainsboro High School South from 2003 to 2007. Jenna then attended Villanova University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a degree in Biochemistry with a focus in Chemistry and Biochemistry. Additionally, they attended Urbino University & Lorenzo d'Amici to study Italian Language.
