Msc Jan Franzen

Jan Franzen, MSc, MBA has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Jan most recently worked as the Director of Procurement at Campbell Companies since 2019.

Prior to that, Jan held the position of Director of Integrations Engineering at Finicity from 2016 to 2019. In this role, they managed a team of 75 Software Engineers and was responsible for developing and maintaining integrations with over 6000 Financial Institutions. Jan successfully implemented Agile Scrum in the Integrations Engineering Department and received the "Finnovator" innovation award.

From 2013 to 2016, Jan worked as the Divisional Category Manager at FLSmidth. In this position, they were globally responsible for managing a $500M spend across various categories, including Gearboxes, Electrical & Automation, Hydraulics, Bearings, and Plant Utilities. Jan delivered significant savings through global RFQs, including $2M (45%) savings for planetary gearboxes and $16M (30%) savings for electrical motors.

Before that, Jan served as the Regional Category Manager at Dyno Nobel from 2010 to 2013. In this role, they managed a $100M spend across various categories, such as IT, Telecom, Travel, Facilities, Marketing, HR, Freight, and Finance. Jan consistently contributed over $1M to the company EBIT and received excellent internal customer satisfaction ratings.

Jan's earlier experience includes roles such as Global Strategic Sourcing Manager at Boart Longyear from 2006 to 2010, Project Engineering Manager at Smith International from 2003 to 2006, and Product Manager at Sandvik from 1998 to 2003. At Sandvik, they also served as a Research Engineer from 1996 to 1998.

In addition, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business from 2003 to 2005. Jan Franzen also holds a certification as a Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management, which they obtained in November 2014.
