Jonathan Phillips is a Professor of Practice in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Utah State University, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in computer programming, microcontrollers, embedded systems, and FPGAs since August 2017. In addition, Jonathan serves as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer at Campbell Scientific, Inc., focusing on analog and digital circuit design, Time Domain Reflectometry, Trace Gas Analysis, FPGA, embedded programming, and project management since January 2014. Previous experience includes roles as a Computer Scientist & Electrical Engineer at Space Dynamics Laboratory, specializing in digital design and embedded software, and as an Electrical Design Engineer at Switchpoint Networks. Jonathan earned a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University, following a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Brigham Young University.
