Dean Colvig

Director of Administration Operations at Camping Companies, Inc.

Dean Colvig has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dean began their career as a Technician I at Kimberly-Clark, where they worked in a toilet paper, paper towel, and napkin conversion plant. After a year, the plant closed down, prompting him to pursue a degree in education.

Following this, Colvig joined the Bureau of Land Management as a Wildland Firefighter. Dean served as a crewmember on a Type 6 engine and traveled across the western United States to fight large fires. Dean also obtained sawyer qualification during their time with the organization.

Colvig then transitioned to the Kingman Academy of Learning, where they held multiple roles over a 17-year period. Starting as a 7th-grade science teacher, they eventually became the Special Programs Administrator for the district. Alongside this position, they took on additional responsibilities such as serving as the Intermediate School Principal, NCLB District Coordinator, High School Special Education Teacher, High School Biology Teacher, Cross-Country Coach, Middle School Athletic Director, and basketball and football coach. Dean also contributed to school accreditation reviews and served on the Arizona Department of Education Title I Committee of Practitioners.

From 2012 to 2018, Colvig also served as the Worship Pastor at Central Christian Church in Kingman, Arizona. Beginning as a volunteer, they eventually received a stipend for their role in leading worship and production.

Most recently, Colvig joined Camping Companies, Inc. as the Director of Administration Operations. In this position, they manage all administrative operations and teams across a six-state footprint, including the repossession of approximately 1100 vehicles per month. Their responsibilities also include overseeing assignment management, repossession reporting, vehicle processing, invoicing, and various other administrative tasks.

Dean Colvig's education history is as follows:

From 1993 to 1995, Dean attended the Arizona College of the Bible, where they studied Bible/Biblical Studies.

Between 1997 and 1999, they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in General Core Curriculum at Mohave Community College.

In 1999, Dean enrolled at Northern Arizona University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Teaching, which they completed in 2000.

Continuing their education at Northern Arizona University, Dean obtained a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from 2001 to 2002.

In 2002, they pursued a Principal Certificate for Principal Certification (K-12) from Northern Arizona University, completing it in 2003.

Dean also holds several additional certifications: the Standard Professional Elementary, K-8 and Standard Professional Principal, PreK-12, both obtained from the Arizona Department of Education in December 2020. Dean also obtained a Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP) from the Arizona Department of Public Safety in December 2020, and a CARS Certification from RISC // Your Compliance Partner in August 2020.
