Maurizio Carvelli has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Maurizio founded Camplus in 2007, a network that provides accommodation and an experiential learning environment for individuals. Maurizio also founded Camplus College in the same year. Prior to this, they were the CEO and Founder of CEUR Foundation, which focuses on education and culture for university students. Maurizio Carvelli also founded and served as CEO of the Pier Giorgio Falciola Foundation, a social housing organization. Maurizio co-founded and was CEO of Cooperativa Nuovo Mondo before that. Maurizio Carvelli began their career as the Director of Business Services at Unindustria Bologna, where they managed institutional relations. Maurizio also had experience in fast-food management at Gesta ristorazione rapida.

Maurizio Carvelli pursued their education from 1973 to 1978 at Liceo Scientifico Leonardo da Vinci in Pescara, where they obtained their Diploma liceo in the scientific field. Afterward, they enrolled at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 1978 to 1983, focusing on Economics and Management, and ultimately earning a degree in Economics and Business.
