Sam Hyun, MBA, MPP, currently serves as the Director of Government Relations at The Asian American Foundation and is a minority owner at Matsunori Handroll Bar. Sam is also a co-founder of 1587 Sneakers and a member of the board of directors for the National Association of Asian American Professionals - Boston Chapter. As a keynote and public speaker with EVERGREEN Speakers and CAMPUSPEAK, Sam addresses topics such as resilience, social justice, and diversity. Previous roles include Director of Federal Relations for the City of Boston, Political Director for Sonia Chang-Diáz's gubernatorial campaign, Communications Manager for Hate Is A Virus, and podcaster for the #IAMNOTAVIRUS campaign. Educational qualifications include an MBA and Master’s in Public Policy from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, and a Bachelor's degree in History from Allegheny College.
