Gijs de Beer

Gijs de Beer has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Gijs is the Co-Founder and head of product at Campy, an app that connects nomads to help them find ideal camping spots. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Mobile App Designer & Developer at gijsdebeer.nl, where they created user-friendly products for various clients. Gijs also co-founded Playtest, a platform that facilitates communication between game developers and gamers for feedback and successful game launches. Additionally, they worked as a User Experience Designer at Blue Giraffe, a Mobile Designer at NOS, and a User Experience Designer at Touchwonders and Gynzy. Gijs also gained experience as a User Experience Designer at Philips DirectLife and as a Design Engineer at Sogeti. Their career began as an Interaction Designer at ACES Direct.

Gijs de Beer completed their Master of Science degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology, starting in 1998 and finishing in 2005. In addition to this, they also briefly attended Umeå University in 2002 to study Industrial Design.
