Laurens van Mierlo has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Laurens is currently the CEO & Co-Founder of Campy, an app that helps users find camping spots in Europe. Prior to this, they worked as a Brand Marketeer at BrandLoyalty, where they managed global brands like Tupperware, LEGO, and Koziol, focusing on environmental-friendly solutions. Laurens also served as a Category Manager, handling the categories of Luggage, BBQ, and Small Domestic Appliances.
Before joining BrandLoyalty, Laurens was a Commercial Manager Europe at Sound United, where they were responsible for new business development, marketing collaborations, and project management. Laurens also worked as a Junior Commercial Manager and Business Controller Europe during their tenure at the company.
Laurens started their career as a Junior Business Consultant and Business Analyst at Ordina Consulting. Laurens also gained experience as a SEPA Payments Professional at Nationale-Nederlanden and held various roles at ABN AMRO Bank N.V., including Project leader, Business Analyst, and Project Management Officer.
In addition, Laurens has worked at NXP Semiconductors as a Strategy Office Analyst, Diagnostiek voor U as IT support for general practitioners, Diesel as a Strategy & Finance Associate, and GGD Nederland as a Finance Associate.
Laurens van Mierlo began their education at Van Maerlantlyceum, where they pursued Higher General Secondary Education (HAVO) with a focus on Economics and Society (E&M). This program lasted from 1997 to 2002.
Laurens then went on to attend Fontys University of Applied Sciences, where they completed their Bachelor of Science in Business Economics. This degree program spanned from 2002 to 2008.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Laurens pursued a Master of Science degree in Strategic Management at Tilburg University. Laurens attended Tilburg University from 2008 to 2011.
In terms of additional certifications, Laurens obtained the WFT Verzekeren Algemeen certificate from NIBE-SVV in December 2012. Laurens also received the Prince 2 Foundation certification from PRINCE2.com in March 2011 and IPMA - Level D from IPMA: International Project Management Association in May 2012.
