Brad Sepp

Mr. Sepp leads CAMRIS’ program management functions and customer relationship management, supports new business development, and implements strategic initiatives supporting CAMRIS’ continued growth. At CAMRIS, he helps shape their lean and adaptive business structure centered on constant improvement with the flexibility to provide highly responsive and efficient service delivery. He is also the manager of their Pilot Bioproduction Facility partnership with the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR).

Mr. Sepp is an operational leader and established executive with over 15 years of project leadership and 25 years in the pharmaceutical and industrial microbiology industry. He has led multiple large facility retrofit and construction programs, including subsequent qualification, validation, and organizational development. Mr. Sepp has applied background leadership in biochemical process engineering, facility design, industrial automation, and program management. He has leveraged this experience in the development and manufacturing of life-saving therapeutics and vaccines, including oncology therapeutics, Ebola therapeutics, Ebola vaccines, flavivirus vaccines, MERS vaccines, flu vaccines, and, most recently, a SARS-CoV-2 vaccine supporting WRAIR.

Upon completing his BS in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Mr. Sepp began his career at Bio-Technical Resources, where he supported industrial microbiology research programs advancing small molecule, protein, and agricultural products for global clients. He spent another year manufacturing oncology therapeutics at Protein Design Labs before earning his MS in Microbial Engineering at the University of Minnesota, where he studied the application of novel chromatography resins for rapid transgenic production of therapeutics and vaccines and taught undergraduate biochemistry. Mr. Sepp relocated to the East Coast biotechnology hubs of Baltimore and Boston in the early 2000s, playing key roles growing several global contract development and manufacturing organizations. He led facility expansion projects and business development efforts at Cambrex, Lonza, and Emergent BioSolutions. Throughout his career, Mr. Sepp has been involved in the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), where he currently serves on the Chesapeake Bay Area Chapter board.
