Amy Johnston has extensive work experience in product marketing and technical communication. Amy started their career in 2003 as an entry-level programmer at ARGO Data Resource Corporation before transitioning to a role as a senior technical communicator and lead editor. In 2008, Amy joined Tekelec as a technical writer, and they stayed with the company until 2011. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a technical communicator at ING. Amy then became a technical writer at GlobalCollect from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they joined XebiaLabs as a technical writer and later took on roles as a product manager, senior product marketing manager, and director of product marketing. Amy transitioned to Digital.ai in 2020 as the director of product marketing before joining Camunda as a senior product marketing manager and later being promoted to principal product marketing manager.
Amy Johnston has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma. Amy also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (Writing) from the same university. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the Certified Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in December 2016 and the Certified SAFe® 5 DevOps Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in May 2020. Amy has also completed various courses and certifications related to product marketing, work relationships, feedback, and software tools.
