Akhilesh Bakshi

Akhilesh Bakshi, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and research institutions. Akhilesh is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Camus Energy, where they manage a distributed grid and provides grid-wide, real-time visibility and network optimization. Prior to this role, Dr. Bakshi worked at Enel X as a Principal Computational Scientist, Senior Computational Scientist, and Computational Scientist. Akhilesh'sresponsibilities included utilizing computational methods for research and analysis. Akhilesh also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on research projects and assisting with PhD dissertations. Other experiences include working as a Technology Consultant at Electra Vehicles, Inc., a Summer Research Intern at BP, and a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Dr. Bakshi also has experience as a Summer Research Intern at McMaster University.

Akhilesh Bakshi, Ph.D. has a strong education background in the fields of Computational Science, Energy Systems, Mechanical Engineering, and Thermo-Fluids. Akhilesh completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Science and Energy Systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Dual Degree (B.Tech. + M.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering and Thermo-Fluids from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay between 2007 and 2012. Akhilesh also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in November 2017.
