CAN Community Health
Stephen Covert, Ph.D., currently serves as Chairman of the Board at CAN Community Health, where support is provided to the Board, executive team, and over 27,000 patients. Additionally, Stephen is a member of the Board of Directors for both Take Stock in Children of Sarasota County and Pine View School for the Gifted, where leadership is directed toward an exceptional community of gifted students. As a University Lecturer at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee, courses in School Finance, Data Analysis, Change, and The Principalship are taught. Previous roles include Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources and Principal in various capacities within Spotsylvania County Schools. Stephen’s educational background includes a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration and a Certificate in Educational Leadership from Harvard University.
