Christopher R. has extensive work experience in the field of internal audit. Christopher began their career in 1996 as a Senior Internal Auditor at M. H. Alshaya Co., where they stayed until 2006. Christopher then worked as a Risk & Internal Control Specialist at Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc. in 2006. From 2007 to 2014, they served as a Senior Internal Auditor at Brookfield Asset Management, where they independently managed audits across various operating platforms. In 2014, they joined CIBC as a Senior Control Analyst before moving to Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. in 2015. At Canaccord, they held various roles, including Senior Internal Auditor and Manager of Internal Controls & Financial Analysis. Most recently, they served as Head of Internal Audit and Global Head of Internal Audit, where they developed and implemented an Internal Audit methodology in line with industry standards and led the business planning for the Internal Audit department globally.

Christopher R. holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from the University of Mumbai. Their studies focused on Economics, Financial Accounting & Management, and Auditing. In addition to their degree, Christopher has obtained certifications such as the Partners, Directors and Senior Officers Course (PDO) from the Canadian Securities Institute, which they achieved in March 2021. Christopher has also acquired the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2021.
