Rosalie MacDonald has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rosalie started their career as an IT/Software Development Consultant at Briyante Software Corporation, where they held various consulting roles, including Quality Assurance Team Lead at ADP and Visual Basic Developer at VanCity Credit Union. During their time at Briyante, they also worked on a project for the Canadian Blood Services involving development of complicated Crystal Reports. This experience allowed their to become an analyst who understands both the technical and business aspects of software projects.

Rosalie then joined Visiphor Corporation as a Product Specialist, specializing in IT for the law enforcement and justice vertical. Rosalie became a subject matter expert in this area, working with SQL Server, Web Services, and XML technologies to provide an integration environment for common data access.

After Visiphor, Rosalie worked as a Technical Analyst at Syscon Justice Systems. In this role, they completed data analysis and modeling to produce requirements and technical designs for data conversion and interface projects. Rosalie was also responsible for developing business requirements and converting them into functional specifications.

Currently, Rosalie is working at Canaccord Genuity Corp. as a Data Analyst. Rosalie has been with the company since 2007 and has held various roles, including Business Systems Analyst. In this role, Rosalie works in the Information Technology department on the Enterprise Application & Development Integration Team. Their responsibilities include XML and XSD development, data analysis, data export, conversion, and migration, as well as coordination and restructuring of projects with stakeholders. Rosalie is also involved in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements, creating use and test cases, ensuring quality assurance throughout the SDLC, and designing web applications. Rosalie is coming to the end of a successful project to build an inventory management system as a web application, which has increased efficiency and accuracy.

Rosalie MacDonald's education history begins in 1991 when they attended Dalhousie University for a period of five years. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Psychology. Following their undergraduate studies, in 1997, Rosalie enrolled in the Information Technology Institute, where they obtained a certificate in Applied Information Technology after a year of study.
