Vincent Lau

Vincent Lau has work experience as an Application Programmer/Analyst at Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. since June 2021. In this role, they have created CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, deployed projects to Azure App Services, and maintained and upgraded projects in .NET Core 2.0 - .

Before their current role, Vincent worked at Clevest from July 2015 to January 2020, where they held positions as an Intermediate Software Developer and Software Developer. Some notable work during this time includes integrating AVL with Utility Rocket GPS modems, providing integration support with a client's legacy system using Amazon Web Services, and performing an Entity Framework conversion. Vincent developed projects using various technologies such as C#.NET, AWS, Azure, Entity Framework, Javascript, jQuery, Kendo UI, knockout.js, MSSQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL. Vincent also designed and implemented full stack features in a product, wrote unit tests, and contributed to development meetings with customers and managers. Vincent additionally worked closely with QA teams, assisted client services/customer support, and provided solutions to bugs.

Prior to Clevest, Vincent worked at INVERS Mobility Solutions as a Customer & System Support Specialist from December 2014 to April 2015. In this role, they responded to support calls, developed internal solutions for software features, and created technical documentation for users.

Vincent's earliest work experience was as an IT Services Proctor at BCIT from May 2012 to June 2014.

Vincent Lau completed their education from 2010 to 2014 at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, earning a Diploma in Computer Systems Technology. In addition to their formal education, they received the AML 2022 certification from Learnedly in October 2022.
