Oluwasetemi Obatoki

Oluwasetemi Obatoki is an experienced Reservoir Engineer currently employed at Canacol Energy Ltd since January 2025, where responsibilities include leading the development of dynamic reservoir simulation models and executing rapid model updates to enhance production forecasting. Prior to this role, Oluwasetemi worked at North Oil Company Qatar from August 2021 to December 2024, focusing on building and updating dynamic models with INTERSECT and supporting water disposal expansion through history matching of a Karst reservoir model. Additionally, experience was gained at Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc from January 2015 to August 2021, where Oluwasetemi constructed dynamic models for redevelopment plans aimed at increasing oil output. Academic qualifications include a Post Graduate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics from The University of Texas at Austin, an Msc in Petroleum Engineering & Project Development from the Institute of Petroleum Studies, and a B.Eng in Petroleum Engineering from Covenant University, Nigeria.
