Heather McAfee

Heather McAfee is an experienced communications and public relations professional, currently serving as an Information / Public Relations Officer at the Canada Council for the Arts since April 2010. McAfee has a diverse background in communication roles, including previous positions as Communications Officer at the National Gallery of Canada and in various public and media relations capacities at the Canada Council for the Arts from 2002 to 2008. Earlier career experience includes roles as a Web Usability Designer at Nortel, Graphic Design and Presenter at Corel Corporation, and Communications Production Manager at the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse. McAfee holds a Bachelor of Physical Education degree with a focus on Sports Marketing and Administration from the University of Alberta, earned between 1983 and 1987.
