Binyerem Ukonu

Binyerem Ukonu is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in publishing, building operations, and customer service. Currently serving as a Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors for the Association of Manitoba Book Publishers since May 2024, Binyerem is also a Building Operator at Canada Goose, where responsibilities include HVAC and mechanical maintenance. As the founder and publisher of Griots Lounge Publishing, Binyerem promotes African literature in North America while managing editorial operations in Nigeria and West Africa. Additional roles include contributions as a writer for Prairie books NOW and participation in the Frankfurt Buchmesse as an invited publisher. Binyerem holds a Certificate in Property Management from Humber College and has acquired various certifications in architecture and design, further solidifying expertise in the field.
