Shane Costello

Shane Costello has a work experience spanning from 2012 to the present. Shane started their career at Irish Life in 2012, where they worked as a Trainee Actuary in the Solvency II department until 2017. From 2017 to 2019, they served as a Manager in the Group Actuarial Reporting team at Irish Life. In 2019, they joined Canada Life Reinsurance as a Senior Manager in Actuarial Development, and in 2023, they transitioned to the role of Head of Basis Management in Dublin.

Shane Costello's education history begins in 2008 when they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics at NUI Maynooth. Shane completed this program in 2011. In 2011, they went on to UCD and obtained a Higher Diploma in Actuarial Science, concluding their studies in 2012. From 2013 to 2018, Shane enrolled in the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries where they achieved a Fellowship. Additionally, in 2018, they completed the Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA) program at the same institution.
